 Highlights of the Trek


This is the most popular and famous trek in Nepal. It is more distinctive than any other trek by its variety of people, rich culture, beautiful landscapes and natural scenery.

The trek leads you to the Northwest of Pokhara through an ancient trek to Tibet across glaciers and gorgeous waterfalls.

From the Annapurna Base Camp you will a close-up view of Mt. Annapurna and Mt. Machhapuchhare. At the final destination, the Annapurna Sanctuary will be welcoming you patiently

Grade : Moderate
You will be walking five to eight hours per day at altitudes not exceeding 4,500 metres with steep ascents and descents. Preparation will be much the same as for the introductory trek but should include more steep ascents and descents if possible. Using the stairs instead of the lift is a good way to prepare for these treks as is cycling and swimming.

Days 01 : Trip commences in Kathmandu, introductions and formalities (1336m)

Days 02 : Sightseeing around Kathmandu Valley

Days 03 : Leave Kathmandu for Pokhara by overland (940m)

Days 04 : Pokhara to Suikhet about one hour by bus and trek to Pathena (2200m)

Days 05 : Himalpani (1550m)

Days 06 : Chomorong (1951m)

Days 07 : Himalaya Hotel (2800m)

Days 08 : Machhapuchhare Base Camp (3700m)

Days 09 : Annapurnna Base Camp and return to MBC (4130m)

Days 10 : Bamboo (2100m)

Days 11 : Chomorong (1951m)

Days 12 : Tadapani (2600m)

Days 13 : Ghorepani (2851m)

Days 14 : Trikhedunga (1555m)

Days 15 : Birethati (911m)

Days 16 : Pokhara (free afternoon in Pokhara) (940m)

Days 17 : Rest day in Pokhara

Days 18 : Kathmandu by bus

Days 19 : Kathmandu – sightseeing/shopping

Days 20 : Kathmandu -optional sightseeing/shopping

Days 21 : Trip concludes in Kathmandu
