 Highlights of the Trek


This is the most popular and famous trek in Nepal. It is more distinctive than any other trek by its variety of people, rich culture, beautiful landscapes and natural scenery. The trek leads you to the Northwest of Pokhara through an ancient trek to Tibet across glaciers and gorgeous waterfalls. From the Annapurna Base Camp you will a close-up view of Mt. Annapurna and Mt. Machhapuchhare. At the final destination, the Annapurna Sanctuary will be welcoming you patiently.

Annapurna Base Camp Trek

  Program Itinerary

Days 01 : Arrival in Kathmandu 1330m
On the arrival day, we will pick up you then transfer to hotel. You will get couple of hour free for your refreshment. Someone will come to meet you at the hotel for short briefing about your tour and trekking.

Days 02 : Sightseeing in Kathmandu Valley 1330:
There are three cities in the Kathmandu valley called Kathmandu, Patan and Bhaktapur. Each city has great history and Royal places and more.. The sightseeing will be about 4hours in any historical point as per our schedules.

Days 03 : Kathmandu – Pokhara 950:
Pokhara is 200 km. far from Kathmandu which is connected by Prithivi Highway. This highway goes through mid hill of the country and along the Trisuli and Marsyandi River. We can see wonderful landscape from the drive. It takes about 7 hours drive by bus. We stop somewhere on the way for lunch. After the 7 hours drive we get in Pokhara and stay one over night at a hotel.

Days 04 : Pokhara – Tolka 1710m. 5-6 hrs
We leave for next destination before 8 am. after breakfast. We take a bus up to Dhampus Phedi, which is (17km.), half an hour drive from Pokhara. Then we start to climb up hill to Dhampus (1580m). It is a steep ascent to Dhampus takes about 2 and half-hour from where a beautiful panoramic view of Mt. Annapurna Range and Mt. Dhaulagiri Range could be seen. A gentle ascent to Potana (1870m) takes about an hour more, where we take our lunch break. After lunch we descend through dense forest to Tolka takes about 2 hours.

Days 05 : Tolka – Chhomrung (1950m).
We gentle descend to New bridge at Jhinu via Landruk. We take our lunch at Jhinu (1600m). Any participants may go to hot spring before lunch at Jhinu takes about 20 minute descent. After lunch we ascend all the way to Chhomrong takes about one and half-hour. We can have a beautiful view of MT. Annapurna South, Hiun Chuli, Mt. Fishtail and Mt. Gangapurna. Chhomrong is a Gurung village one of the ethnic group of Nepal.

Days 06 :Chhomrung – Himalaya Hotel (2680m)
We descent to Chhomrong Khola and cross a suspension bridge and ascend up to Sinuwa. There are many up and down hills to Bamboo. We plan to take our lunch here. There is a gentle ascent to Himalaya hotel through dense forest and bamboo grooves. We will have a gorgeous view of waterfall between Dovan and Himalaya Hotel Today we walk about 6 hours.

Days 07 :Himalaya Hotel – Machhapuchhre Base Camp 3480m:
We ascend all the way to Machhapuchhre Base Camp, which takes about four hours. We take our lunch and overnight at Machhapuchhre Base Camp today. The trail goes along the Modi river between the cliffs of Mt. Annapurna south and Mt. Machhapuchhre.

Days 08 : Machhapuchhre Base Camp – Annapurna Base Camp 4130m:
We ascend only about two hours for our destination today. We have a free day or side walking day to the Annapurna glacier. We will be in the lap of mountains. We will see very close Mt. Annapurna South, Hiun Chuli, Annapurna I, Tent Peak, Mt. Machhapuchhre, Gandharva Chuli, and many more other peaks.

Days 09 : Annapurna Base Camp – Dovan 2680m.

Days 10 : Dovan – Chhomrung 1950m.
We return same way back to Chhomrong.

Days 11 : Chhomrung – Ghandruk 1950m.
We walk on a flat trail about one hour then descend down to Kimrong Khola (river) takes about another 45 minute. We ascend to the Kumrong Dada again takes about one hour then we gently descend to Ghandrung. We take our lunch at best available restaurant in between. Ghandrung is a Gurung Village of about 11 hundred families. Most male people of Ghandruk village are employed in Gorkha Army. It is a beautiful village with a scenic-mountain and terrace hills view. There is a Headquarter of Annapurna Conservation Area Project. If we will have free time we may visit this office.

Days 12 : Ghandruk – Pokhara 920m:
We descend to Birethanti takes about 3 hours along the Ghandrung, Khimje and Syauli Bazar. We have to check our ACAP permit here. We walk more about 30 minute to New Bridge to catch a bus. We drive about 2 hours to Pokhara and overnight at hotel.

Days 13 : Pokhara explorer:
We will have a free day here or optional sightseeing to explore Pokhara.

Days 14 : Fly Pokhara – Kathmandu 1330m.

Days 15 : Departure transfer to the airport for onward destination.

  Cost : US $ 433.00 per person
Annapurna Conservation Fee US $ 30.00 per person.
Kathmandu-Pokhara-Kathmandu by tourist bus US $ 10.00 person.
4 nights hotel at Kathmandu US $ 60.00 per person.
3 nights hotel at Pokhara US $ 45.00 per person
One full day sightseeing of Kathmandu Valley: US $ 18.00 per person

  Total Cost : US $ 596.00 per person.
If you want to fly Kathmandu - Pokhara or Pokhara - Kathmandu, US $ 67.00 per person is one way flight fare. In this case US $ 10.00 per person will be reduced.
The above cost is specially prepared for you on the basis of minimum 8 pax. If there will be more than 10 pax, you will be free except government fee and airfare.

Guide, route men (assistant guide), porters, Food ( breakfast, lunch, dinner) and accommodation at best available hotel during trekking, insurance of trekking crews, clothes for the porters, Annapurna Conservation Area Project (ACAP) fee, transportation: Kathmandu-Pokhara- Kathmandu by tourist coach/fly and necessary land transportation i.e arrival, departure, Pokhara-Phedi (Suikhet) and New bridge-Pokhara, 3 nights hotel at Kathmandu 3 star standard hotel, three nights hotel at Pokhara in tourist standard hotel with hot and cold shower, One full day sightseeing of Kathmandu Valley.

  Additional Cost :-

Bar bills, drinks, personal nature expenses, health and travel insurance, rescue operation charge if applicable, any cost of Kathmandu and Pokhara except accommodation, gratitude.
