 Highlights of the Trek

Description : Utterly marvelous, still very untouched and an irregular trekking area of Makalu region is very close to the Everest region. Because of Arun River, it is known as Arun Valley too. The Arun Valley is an unimaginable area and it is famous for both the culture and nature. This area is a naturalist's paradise and it is teeming with many precious plants, animals and Mt. Makalu (8475m.) birds and is a significant part of the Himalayan environment and ecosystem.
People living in this remote place depend on cattle herds, farming and small - time trade. The number of population is 32000. Various castes and ethnic groups from this population, they are: Sherpa in the higher elevation, Gurung, Tamang, Magar, Newar, Brahmins, Chhetris and the others in the rest, The tour to those places have many attractions because of the cultural reasons too.

On These treks are similar to the introductory treks but with occasional higher altitude selections.

Days 06 : Tashi Goam

Days 07 : Kauma (2600m)

Days 08 : Mumbuk (3800m)

Days 09 : Riphuk Kharka (5000m)

Days 10 : Mure (4407m)

Days 11 : Makalu Base Camp (5400m)

Days 12 : Rest day - with short treks

Hotel accommodation in Kathmandu (as per itinerary, 3 star rating standard, B&B, twin share basis), airport transfers, full compliment of trekking crew, all meals while on trek (except alternative by choice), all necessary camping gear (including sleeping bag, down jacket), overland transportation, National Park Fees, trekking crew insurance, emergency first aid kit.

  Additional Cost :-

Extra hotel expenses, single room supplement where requested, any personal expenses (bottled soft drinks, telephone charges, video/camera fees, etc.), domestic and international airfares, medical costs (except medical attention given by trek leader), rescue charges, tips for crew, Visas and visa extension costs, lunch and evening meals while in Kathmandu (except Namaste meal on first night)
