Program Itinerary |
Days 01 :
Arrival and transfer to hotel. |
Days 02-03 :
VISA Organizing and visiting Kathmandu Valley |
Days 04 :
Kathmandu-Lhasa by early morning flight: (1 hour
flight) after Custom formalities at Lhasa Airport, 1
½ hours by var and 2 hours by bus to Lhasa town
(Hotel Check in) and in the afternoon Visiting the
ancient 5th century's Jail (Yumbulakang) from where
the Yarlung Dynasty was controlling the Valley Back
in to Hotel. |
Days 05 :
Lhasa-Tsetang: after breakfast we'll cross the
Tsangpo River by Lather boat and visiting the 8th
Century's monastery Samey. (Tibet's first Monastery)
was buld of Mandala's shape. Aafter the Cultural
Revolution it was Re-build in 1989. In the afternoon
we'll stop on the way for lunch and night at Tsetang
(Hotel) |
Days 06 :
Tstang-Lhasa: (4 hours drive) on the way to Lhasa
we'll visiting the Mindroling, ancient spiritual,
School (Nyingmapa's). Beautiful Villages,
agriculture fields, scenic sites. Arriving at Lhasa
around 4 O' clock and later in the afternoon doing
the Jokhang Cora tour (One of the Tibet's most
sacred-7th century's temple) back to the hotel |
Days 07-08 :
Touring at Lhasa: Inner Lhasa tour, Including
Tibetan Buddhist Philosophy University of sera
Drepung, Potal Palace and Nurbulinkha. |
Days 09 :
Excurision to Ganden Monastery: Early 15 century
monastery main seat of Gelukpa, founded by Tsong
Khapa. Tsong Khapa is founder of the Gelukpa sect,
Yellow Hat. Ganden monastery lies about 45 km east
of Lhasa along the road that follows the South bank
of the Kyi Chu River to medro Gongkar. Before the
holovaust, over 2,000 Monks lived there. Now only
300 monks live here. For evening come back to Lhasa
and same Hotel. |
Days 10 :
Lhasa – Gantse: 210 km 6 ½ hours drive VIA Kampala
Pass, (4900.) and turquoise lake Yamdrok Tso. These
day we'll taking pack Luncha, (Perhaps will stop be
side the Lake for Lunch. Gantse is famous its
Nenying Monastery founded by the Samye monk Jampal
Sangba in the 11th Century and Nenying was one of
the Nyingmapas. It was taken over by the Gelikpa in
the 17th century and Nenying was one of the oldest
and most respected monasteries of Tsang, an
important center for the Nyingmapas. It was taken
over by the gelikpa in the 17th century and headed
by Dorje Phagmo, the Female incarnate resing at
Samding Monastery. We will visit later in the
afternoon, and night at hotel. |
Days 11 :
Gantse-Shigatse: 90km 3 ½ hours. Shigatse is the
second largest city in Tibet and the seat of the
Panchen Lamas. Also known as Monastic City, on the
way to Shigatse we are taking a side trip to
celebrated Shalu monastery. (Hotel) |
Days 12 :
Shigatse: As we have above mentioned the Shigatse is
city of Monastic. After Breakfast our cultural guide
will take us to Tashilhunpo monastery. Tashilhunpo
is the largestm most vibrant monastery in Tibet, the
only one that does justice to the term 'monasticcity'.
Founded in 1447 by Tsong Khapa's nephew and sisciple,
Gendundrup, the first Dalai Lama, it was
substantially enlarged under the fourth Panchen
Lama, Lobsang Choyi Gyaaltsen, (Same hotel) |
Days 13 :
Shigaste-Shegar: about 6 hors drive. On the way to
Shegar we are taking an Side trip to Sakya
Monastery. Sakya monastery is the school for Sakyapa
principle. |
Days 14 :
Shegar-Rumphuk: Approximately 4 hours drive. VIA
Lama La pass can be spot the most magnificent view
of the world's highest Peaks-Everest (8848m) Lhotse
(8501m) and Makalu (8463m). Rumphuk lies base of the
world Highest Mt. Everest, it is reconstructed
monastery, and once one of the largest Monastic
complexes in the region, according to Sherpa;s from
Solukhumbu of Nepal say Theyngboche is branch
monastery of Rumphuk. |
Days 15 :
Rumphuk-Naylam: Approximately 7 hours route. We are
rerouting to still near the Shegar nad heading to
Naylam VIA Tengri. |
Days 16 :
Naylam-Kathmandu: 7 hours route to Kathmandu.
(Hotel) |
Days 17 :
Free day in Kathmandu for shopping or optional
sightseeing. |
Days 18 :
Departure transfer to the airport for onward
destination. |
